6:00 AM

Rise and Shine, this is an all-new day; I can't get started as anybody else without thanking the creator, followed by stretching before I wake up and get ready for that day, for an amazing blessing.

6:30 AM

Starting my day with the most important meal of the day, accompanied by a cup of coffee, boosts my energy and improves my physical performance.

Then I make sure that everything I need to bring is prepared such as I.D, face mask, face shield and spare clothing.

7:30 AM

It's that time of day again... commuting to the pick-up location where our company shuttle/service will pick me up and drop me off at our site office. The benefit of commuting is that I can set aside time to check my email and plan my day's activities.

9:30 AM

In the Site office, I primarily read emails, respond to some inquiries, and complete my daily personal tracker. My Construction Project Manager is being kept up to date on the actions and progress of the contractors. Assist the contractor with their submittals, such as Work Inspection Requests and Work Activity Permits, by ensuring and securing the relevant documents and completing them on time. Read the construction plan, comprehend and coordinate.

Typically, the contractor will call and invite us to come in for an inspection. The performance must go on, rain or shine, and the inspectorate must be prepared. Today, a schedule for concrete pouring for pressure slabs exists; this activity involves a final check of the Top and Bottom Bars, Formworks and Survey Layout and Coordinates, Top Bar elevation, Construction joint, waterproofing, and other items prior to pouring.

Though the team has diverse tasks in separate locations, the good news is that they are connected by hunger only kidding, eating together, exchanging some opinions, and laughing together, but keep in mind that we follow health standards such as "social distancing."

Team Meeting - Our Construction Project Manager (CPM) calls a meeting to highlight the activities that need to be improved and the areas that need to be utilized. This meeting is, in some ways, fairly- serious in terms of expressing our ideas and opinions, site issues, and situational problems that demand clarification, concerns, and solutions. Our CPM leads us and conveys his expectations and point of view with everyone in the room, enabling us to work as a team and as a single entity. The gathering ended with laughs and new information.

To ensure that I am on track with the paperwork, I update Arcadis’ WIR and WAP Tracker.

5:45 PM

I'm tired but thrilled as I leave the office. With a sense of accomplishment that I had done a good job.

6:45 PM

I went home to decompress and relax after a long and strenuous day at work. I took a quick shower to pamper myself after checking my social media apps (Facebook, YouTube, and personal email).

7:45 PM

My mom prepared and cooked a delicious dinner for me, and I thoroughly loved it.

9:00 PM

It's time to sleep – my bed drew me in – but before my eyes closed and drifted off to sleep, I finished my day with a simple prayer to thank God for today's guidance, blessings, and tomorrow's brand-new day.
